Toddler Park

Location Shenandoah, Texas Year 2016 Client City of Shenandoah
Creating a specialized place for Shenandoah’s youngest residents to play.

Repurposing areas within a city is a great way to bring new life a space. Which is exactly what happened when the City of Shenandoah tasked Pacheco Koch with preparing conceptual and final landscape architecture design plans to turn an old water plant site into a park for kids under six years of age. Already within a residential area, the park includes traditional play equipment as well as unprogrammed, open play areas for exercising young imaginations. Existing pines and proposed canopy structures provide shade for kids and parents in adjoining picnic areas.
