Fort Worth ISD VPA/STEM Academy: Repurposing a historic high school to create an unmatched arts and sciences academy.

When district voters green-lit Propostion 2, a $73.3-million project to repurpose historic IM Terrell High School, the process of combining the Visual and Performing Art Academy (VPA) with the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academy onto a common campus began. As the civil engineering and land surveying firm, Pacheco Koch is not only providing site improvements and introducing courtyards to the existing campus, but also taking the lead on abandoning existing street right-of-way, relocating public utilities, designing underground detention facilities, and platting the property with adjacent properties acquired to create a unified campus.
