Mark Schluter, PE joins PK as Director of Transportation Engineering and CE&I

Mark has been practicing in the transportation industry throughout Texas for more than 41 years. For more than half of his career, he has served in a variety of capacities for the Fort Worth District of TxDOT, including the Director of Transportation Operations and Area Engineer in North Tarrant and Wise/Jack Counties. Additional roles included bridge and structure design, advanced roadway project planning and schematics, environmental, roadway and freeway design, maintenance, and operations. Working from the firm’s Fort Worth office, Mark will serve as the Director of Transportation and Construction Engineering and Inspection, bringing a new level of highway and CEI expertise to Pacheco Koch’s TxDOT and municipal clients.

The Hill Shopping Center receives the Texas ASLA Honor Award

We are excited to announce that The Hill Shopping Center, a 16-acre high-profile site in North Dallas, received the Texas ASLA Honor Award for 2019. The aging center received a modern and eclectic makeover that reinvigorates the 70’s style facility. The auto-heavy center was transformed into a walkable place with a lush native landscape and pockets of amenities for restaurants and businesses. The landscape feeds off an eco-friendly environment by using native grasses, shrubs and trees, rainwater collection and water-efficient irrigation.

Voted one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ for the 4th year in a row

    

Pacheco Koch is proud to have been voted #19 in the Dallas Business Journal‘s 2018 ‘Best Places to Work’ medium-sized firm category. The DBJ selected 100 firms from the over 500 submitted based on responses to an employee survey. 2018 marks the fourth year in a row that Pacheco Koch has been honored with this recognition.

PK is awarded the D/FW Airport Champion of Diversity Award

PK is proud to have received this award that recognizes companies who embrace and exemplify diversity and inclusion in their business relationships. Nominations were submitted internally by employees of the three procuring departments: Infrastructure and Development, Procurement & Materials Management and Concessions, then reviewed by an evaluation committee. PK is one of the 13 out of 30 submissions chosen for this honor.

Brian O’Neill becomes a North Texas Commission Board member

During his 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the North Texas Commission (NTC), Brian will represent the North Texas community as a leader in the public realm, bringing valuable resources and perspectives to the Commission and actively participating in committees that support the NTC mission to advance the vibrancy of North Texas.

Established in 1971, the North Texas Commission is a public-private partnership of businesses, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development entities and higher education institutions in the North Texas Region. The NTC convenes stakeholders, educates and advocates in support of regional priorities that advance North Texas. Members of the Board of Directors are elected from among leading NTC members.

Jennifer Butcher, PE, PTOE joins PK as a Director of Traffic Engineering

Jennifer is a licensed professional engineer and certified professional traffic operations engineer bringing 16+ years of technical experience in both the private and public sectors. Her experience includes traffic signal design, site design, illumination design, ITS design, route planning, transportation modeling, roundabout modeling and concept plans, traffic signal warrant studies, roadway level of service analyses, traffic impact studies, site access and circulation studies, traffic signal timing, traffic control plans and intersection layout design. Jennifer joins the Fort Worth office of Pacheco Koch. Welcome to the team, Jennifer!
