PK knows how to set the PAR high!

Pacheco Koch hosted their first annual PK Open mini golf tournament. Throughout each office, staff created a functional mini golf course with a theme or course made with materials that were found around the office to be played by participating PK staff. Check out some of the creative designs!

PK wins six awards this weekend in the 2021 Form Follows Fitness 5K!

For the eighth year in a row, Pacheco Koch participated in the Blackson Brick Form Follows Fitness 5K. Pacheco Koch had over 80 participants this year! Not only did we win 5 individual awards for various age groups, but we also won the ‘Fastest Industry Team” award for the second year in a row! We are proud to take home these awards and we look forward to participating next year!

PK Celebrates Earth Day with a sustainable paper airplane contest

Last week, Pacheco Koch hosted their first combined Earth Day paper airplane contest! Each year, Pacheco Koch hosts a paper airplane contest encouraging our team members to create paper airplanes out of recycled paper to incorporate sustainability in design. This year, we held this competition on Earth Day in honor of environmental awareness. Who says you can’t make sustainability fun?

Pacheco Koch once again launches the University of Texas at Arlington Student-Alumni Mentor Program

In honor of World Landscape Architecture Month, Pacheco Koch has once again launched the University of Texas at Arlington Student-Alumni Mentor Program. Co-founded by Dorothy Witmeyer, PLA, of Pacheco Koch, the program allows UTA students to learn from landscape architecture professionals and build meaningful relationships with industry experts and other students.

A special thanks goes out to Geoff Hall, PLA, LI, ISA CA, and Amber Davis, PLA, for being active mentors in the program and fostering the next generation of landscape architecture professionals. We are proud to continue connecting students with professionals, and at the same time, facilitate and expand industry knowledge.

For the seventh year in a row, Pacheco Koch participated in the Form Follows Fitness 5k. With over 50 participants, we’re proud to take home the ‘Fastest Industry Team’ award.

On Valentines Day, PK celebrated by wearing red in support of the American Heart Association. PK honored the over 75 employees that participated by donating $500 to the Association.

Make-N-Take Holiday Wreaths

Nothing like ending the week with some wreath making! Last Friday, the PK Funners hosted their final Make-N-Take of 2019. Employees created holiday and seasonal wreaths with the help of our guest teacher, Nancy Pacheco. The event allowed PK staff to learn a new craft while creating their own holiday decorations.
